AIChE Student Design Competition
• Designed a novel process that would produce 50,000 tons of ammonia with a team in 60 days
• Calculated reactor size, and determined most efficient stream parameters in Aspen
• Completed an economic analysis in MS Excel and a HAZOP study on process designed
• Communicated results in a formal written report using MS Word and presented to alumni board
• Was selected from groups of peers to be submitted to the AIChE Design Competition
