PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Raytheon Missile Systems Company Tucson, Arizona
Senior Principal Systems Engineer Jun 2003 - Oct 2020

June 2003 – October 2020
• Provided testing and assembly for components when subjected to extreme temperature environments for evaluation of performance changes, as well as evaluation of bonding effects to optical components, conducted team meetings, and reported findings to the project manager.
• Provided leadership to cross functional engineers and lead investigator of coating failure for multi spectral domes for an advanced missile, identified inadequate coating design as cause for durability failure to the MIL-PRF-13830 humidity testing requirements.
• Provided monthly reports as the Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) of the optical system for various advanced missile programs, this involved evaluating design acceptance requirements for optical components and coating durability from customers.
• Responsible for the development planning and assembly of a new seekers for a lower cost solution. Worked with manufacturing engineers for streamlining testing and assembly operations.
• In charge of development of a manufacturing process for reduced cycle time and cost reduction of manufacturing domes for various missile programs, reduced total cycle time for lower cost, managed directed changes.
• Using the most advanced CNC machines, monitored the development of highspeed polishing with unique tooling for reduced total cost. Successfully completed the program with the process cycle time reduction of 50%. Trained junior engineers on the required manufacturing processes.
• Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) for various missile program optical components, which included monitoring supplier contract requirements thru schedules and reviews of processes and action items.
• Established customer relations with customer supporting Supply Chain, as well as monitored delivery of optical components from various suppliers contracted to meet all technical requirements and meet design criteria.
• Monitored quality control requirements and verification of component drawing tolerances, monitored supplier quality standards and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluated optical components to meet all Military Specifications imposed on the drawings, trained personnel in optical metrology.
