I got my first job at an orchard when I was 13, and my job was to keep track of how many buckets of cherries each person had filled, and to make sure a picker did not try to pull a fast one by underfilling their buckets, well as telling the pickers which tree to go to next. This job helped me learn how to be polite but firm to not let people take advantage of me, as well as how to communicate and get along with co-workers.

My next job was at a McDonald's, and within 3 months I became a Crew Trainer, so my job was to train new employees on how to do their new positions. I would also take over while the manager was on break, and was in line to become a shift manager, but moved to Pullman before I had the chance. This job gave me some of my first responsibilities in being a leader in charge. This job especially taught me how to work with people and how to get everyone to get along, since everyone is so different.

At McDonald's I also learned how to count money very fast, since the goal is to get the customer in and out in 90 seconds or less. I also learned how to type fast since I would help type emails for some managers who either not good with computers or did not know proper English.
