As a full time graduate student I have been working at the Boys and Girls Club in Ballard part-time. I am on athletics staff while I go to school. During the past summer I was full time working as a counselor. I was responsible for the moral, groth, safety and wellbeing of kids ages 4-15.

NAVIGATOR, QUARTERMASTER, United States Navy, San Diego, CA May 2012 – Nov 2016

Accountable for maintenance and preservation of navigation spaces and equipment; and safe, accurate, and on-course steering of vessel. Advised on-ship ceremonies. Served as ship weather observer. Supervised and trained personnel in navigation, damage control, material condition readiness, use of tools, and safety procedures. Inventoried and ordered charts, publications, equipment, and parts.

Managed and led 10 quartermasters ensuring all tasking was completed efficiently and ahead of schedule. Held 4 collateral leadership positions: Work Center Supervisor, Damage Control Petty Officer, Assistant Departmental Fitness Leader, and Training Petty Officer. Promoted 3 times and received 9 awards, medals, and/or citations.
