Technical Operations Job Description



JOB LOCATION: Houston,TX **Remote but will meet in the office 1 day a week every 2 weeks.**

We are an online advertising network supporting 100 publishers, working with advertisers including Google and Microsoft, and is a subsidiary of ASX listed media group E------------.



We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment while also maintaining high standards of performance and excellence. We are looking for someone who is comfortable explaining technical issues in non-technical ways, and someone who is able to provide excellent service throughout stressful situations. Since you will be working with publishers who may be dealing with difficult issues, we expect you to be able to empathize with our publishers, help de-escalate situations and get the answers you need from the correct source.



Summary of Duties

Answer publisher�s technical questions through email and Skype.
Make accounts in our platform for new and existing publishers
Update existing publishers account information in our system, working with landing page domains, servers, nameservers, subID�s and ad units.
Work with appropriate people in operations group to troubleshoot and resolve account, creative, and technical issues.
Work with the creative staff to help with HTML edits on templates, and troubleshoot errors when uploading creatives into our system.
Work with third party creative staff on image creatives and HTML to ensure they are working on the correct tasks.
Run SQL queries on request from publishers to get the reports they need.
Be available via Gchat and Skype during work hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Bachelor�s Degree in a Computer Science, IT, or Marketing related field
2 years of experience in HTML and CSS
1 year of experience in SQL
Ability to work in a fast paced. dynamic environment
Ability to read, organize, and analyze data sets and provide recommendations to provide the best solution for our publishers.
Tech Savvy
Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Proficiency in office productivity tools (Gmail, Google Apps)
Strong composition and language skills
Ability to quickly learn new tools and techniques
The ability to write professional emails and possess great phone presence.
Strong communications skills: interpersonal, oral and written.
Must be able to work with all levels of associates and management within the organization.
Ability to keep track of and organize numerous and varied time sensitive tasks. and concurrently deal with frequent urgent situations requiring immediate decision and action.
Ideal candidate would have technical savvy, and willingness to learn about OBMedia�s system and industry, such that over time the Candidate could respond to more and more of the publisher requests themselves.
