Experience
RECEPTIONIST | BIOLA COUNSELING CENTER | 2016-2017
As a receptionist, I handled payments, scheduling appointments, and phone calls. For payments, I worked with the website Securenet which allowed money information to be put in and all customers info. I worked with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and a website called Penelope that was used by the department. I interacted with customers one on one, which required for me to have excellent customer service skills and meeting the needs of my customers. My job position also required for me to deal with restocking, and filing paperwork.

EXTENDED DAYCARE TEACHER (ELEM.) | WHITTIER CHRISTIAN THE HEIGHTS | 2017-2018
At this school, I am an extended day daycare teacher. In extended it is my job to either sign in the students, or watch them at the playground. When signing in students, it is my responsibility to make sure I put the correct time that the student is coming to sign in and to direct them to the playground to play after they have put their stuff away carefully. After sign in, we take the students outside and this is where they have time to play and eat their snacks. Then, we move into our designated groups, which is lowers (K-2nd) and uppers (3rd-5th). During this time we have planned activities with the kids that can be games, art projects, or even a teaching lesson. After this, we go back to playing outside and then move back into the classroom where students are allowed to choose from many leisure activities until they get picked up. During this time we can participate with the students in these activities as well as start the closing procedures. The closing procedures consist of stacking chairs and to bring anything inside that needed to be brought in, wiping down tables, putting away games, etc. To conclude closing procedures I would lock all doors and bathrooms and make sure all lights are off.
During the summer, the same procedures take place. There are just a few minor changes, such as going on field trips with the kids and planning activities for them to do. On occasion movies would be played.

PRESCHOOL TEACHER | HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOLS | 2018-2019
As a preschool teacher, I have had the privilege of working with a variety of age groups. I was able to work in our infant rooms, which is from 6 weeks old to 1 . In the infant room, I was in charge of making sure all the babies needs were met, which meant checking the charts and making sure their diapers were changed, fed at the right times and on their right sleeping schedule. Another responsibility was helping each baby with their individual progress such as, tummy time, sitting up, being able to hold their head up, etc. As for our Waddler room, which is ages 1-1 , they have a schedule they stick to and which is followed throughout the day which consists of, play time, outdoor time, table time (reading and hands on activities) nap time, and their eating schedules. In this age group I was in charge of 4 kids, but in total there are 16 kids in a room. As for the toddler room, I would be in charge of 6 kids, and they similarly have the same schedule and routines. As for the twos, the ratio of kids is 12 to 1 teacher, and their teachings are a bit different and of a higher level. They also have a schedule that is followed every day. I was a Pre-K teacher, and our routine consists of morning meeting, transition into Bible time, then Language Arts, Outside time, come in for Handwriting without tears (writing curriculum), lunch, then nap followed right after, wake up, story time, and then back to outdoors. Throughout the day are integrated centers, math, and history and science as well as art. I would get an hour to prep every day where I would use our curriculum books as well as other resources to lesson plan. Often times in the afternoons I would float around to other classrooms where I was needed so I am fully capable of adapting to whatever classroom I am in.
