LIFE SKILL EXPERIENCE
PUBLIC SPEAKING
I have been assigned public speaking tasks on various occasions. The group sizes have varied according to the situation.
* - I have spoken to my peers at school during my business week.
* - I have presented to a group of businessmen during the course of my Engineering Gold Crest Award.
* - I regularly present to class members, lecturers, and industry officials.

BUSINESS ENTERPRISE SCHEME
The Business Enterprise Scheme is an activity which takes place at school and is scheduled for two days or more. The Scheme tests your innovation, money-managing skills, and marketing skills. These are assessed through activities, both as an individual and in groups.

WORLD CHALLENGE – MOROCCO
In 2014 I went as part of a school group to Morocco to volunteer in social help activities. These included repainting a Women and Children’s School and donating to them through funds we raised back in England. We also hosted a local socialising event to better get to know the children included in the program. We also hiked through the Atlas mountain ranges for five days afterwards.

WALT DISNEY WORLD – FLORIDA
In 2013 I went with my school to an educational trip around all of the parks and studios around Orlando, Florida. I was inspired by the animation and recording sectors in particular, and also the depth of science and wonder in the Epcot and Animal Kingdom Parks.

WORK EXPERIENCE
FALMOUTH UNIVERSITY – STUDENT AMBASSADOR (January 2018-Now)
I started working for Falmouth University after I had settled in at university, and the role covers campus tours, exhibition help, course sales, and much more varied activities such as serving popcorn and drinks at events and marshalling, which both came as a pleasant surprise. The role has offered me a lot of new learning opportunities on the spot, which I feel have helped me gain confidence and prove my trustworthiness and organisational skills well, all while helping others with a smile on my face. I have also carried out Emergency First Aid training with the Ambassador scheme as of 07/11/2018/.

ASDA – SERVICE HOST (December 2017-Now)
Hired as a Seasonal Team Member as a Service Host, I have worked and been trained mostly to function as both a Till Operator and as a Home Shopping colleague at my home store, Milton Keynes. I have enjoyed working at ASDA as a whole and have picked up on processes quickly.

IKEA – BEDROOMS CO-WORKER (April 2016-September 2017)
Being in the Bedrooms department, co-workers get the opportunity to have one on one time with the customers and spend time with them to give them the best products and services to suit their needs. You also get the opportunity to learn about all different areas of the store, and to piece together large orders and you are given complete responsibility for that order and your customer's overall experience during their time with you and the business.

McDONALD’S – CREW MEMBER (July 2015-April 2016)
McDonald's crew members work at the front counter helping customers through the ordering process. At McDonald's, you are always part of a team, and your duties include operating a cash register, running the drive-thru, giving personal customer service and help whenever needed and completing other assigned tasks.

UNIQUE CUTS – CUSTOMER ASSISTANT (August 2012-July 2015)
As an assistant, it was my responsibility to help the customer and make sure their needs were met right from the moment they walked into the shop. I was to make drinks and clean the shop while also monitoring the situation in the shop. I reliably ran errands for my colleagues and ensured the customer left the shop with a positive outlook on the business and the employees, and a wish to come back.
