With this letter, I’d like to introduce myself and show my interest for being a part of your team. While majoring in Environmental Education and Interpretation, not only did I gain the skills to create interpretive signs, I also became familiar with working with children, the public, and developing our own curriculum and lesson plans. In my classes, we routinely used lesson plans to educate elementary students about different environmental aspects. Through using fun games and activities, the students were educated and well entertained. In my courses, the environment and natural resources were always the focus. Many of my classes incorporated field work in natural settings, where we had to get our hands dirty and have an extensive knowledge of our surroundings. I developed a greater appreciation for nature and a deeper understanding of it.
Being creative and thinking outside the box are traits that helped me flourish with every task at hand. I believe hard work and passion are essential for any job, and I fully apply these to whatever position I have. My current objective is to expand my experiences and skills properly, and to contribute them to any team I’m in to help achieve our goal.
