Automation Analyst, August 2012 to Present
DWD- Unemployment Insurance Division (UI)- Madison, WI

This position serves as a Business Process Automation for the Division's Imaging systems and functions. I am responsible for the integration of high volume optical scanners with other automated systems all related to document management. I coordinate the issues relating to imaging of documents and use of optical scanners within and between UI Division staff, Information Technology staff, vendors and am responsible for communicating business requirements, changes, enhancements, etc. needed to capture digital images of UI tax and benefit documents. I am responsible for testing all system enhancements, new technologies, and Interfaces between the scanner and all other systems. This position reviews correspondence and forms to insure that the Division is making the most efficient use of scanning technology and scanner capabilities. I'm responsible for the initial troubleshooting of any scanner malfunction. Finally I'm responsible for developing and maintaining an effective quality assurance program which oversees the verification of data captured through optical character recognition, and use of the bar code scanners. I provide support to WDMI (document management group) and UIBNet (database for Bureau of Benefits) administrative groups by performing duties as a subject matter expert including the testing of all system changes.

Wrote business needs and visual aspects for the agency�s first-ever website and database. Worked with contractor on testing and setting up queries that would link to the website for the client-base or private post-secondary schools in Wisconsin.
