Noah’s Academic Summary – Saint John’s College/2015-2019

I am a recent graduate from the Saint John’s College program. Founded in 1696, it is one of the longest standing academic establishments in America. Saint John’s writing centered curriculum requires countless hours a week of diligent writing and editing on papers created by yourself and your peers. Classes consisted of round table discussion between students in order to learn about the complex logical, mathematical, and literary works of authors like Plato, Shakespeare, Euclid, Nietzsche, Einstein, and Austen. The Saint John’s curriculum is one of the most demanding in all of American higher education, completion ensures open-mindedness and diligence in its graduates.

Noah’s Job Experience

Animal Care Technician – Santa Fe Animal Shelter/Summer 2019
Has experience working at a no-kill rehabilitation shelter in Santa Fe. My friendliness and willingness to work with other led to a very cordial environment with other seasoned employees at the shelter. Many times during work at the shelter, early completion of daily tasks gave him time to socialize with the animals, leading to better behavior from animals.

Youth Conservation Corps. Assistant Supervisor – Santa Fe Botanical Garden/Summer 2018
Hired as a normal Corps member position, but during the initial interview displayed a level of confidence that was indicative of comfort working with younger kids and experience with conservation techniques. I was instead given a supervising role where he oversaw fellow Corps members during fieldwork at local Wetlands as well as educational trips. Was also asked to assist in the creation of a course syllabus for the New Mexico Master Naturalist Program that is still being used. Able to succeed and excel in a field with which he had next to no practical experience.

Theater Usher - Santa Fe Opera/Summer 2017 and 2018
Part of a well-organized team of Ushers for a world-renowned Opera house in Santa Fe New Mexico. Courteously assisted patrons both young and old to their seats and lifting copious amounts of programs with relative ease. Was a trusted worker, and was asked on occasion to take over for a team manager on nights where they had to leave early.

Data Processor - Internet Archive/Summer 2015
Served as a data processor for the Internet Archive, a massive multimedia data library in San Francisco. As a part of the job, I was required to learn a new coding language in order to store CD data in the library, and was overseen in part by the Archive’s founder Brewster Kahle. Learned how to approach a coding language with no experience and how to learn well from highly skilled professionals.
