Mildrena's Resume
I am an 18 college freshman attending Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. I am very interested in this job as I believe it will boost my knowledge in child development and learning, while in college I am studying Elementary Education. I wish to become a Kindergarten teacher and eventually evolve to own my own daycare, which is why i will be a great asset to this job. I get to add to my resume while getting the actual experience of working with young children teaching them to grow. As I said before I am majoring in Elementary Education, I found interest in the Education department because of my love for children. I find it interesting the way they learn and are able to develop certain skill sets. Children are the most interesting people on the earth, they adapt to things well, they always have the energy and time to learn new things, and they are just so fun and loving. I have worked in an elementary school as a teachers assistant in a 5th grade class. The environment for kids was hectic especially since they were older but it was still so much fun. I learned how to focus on each kid individually and see how they react and learn new subjects. I noticed that different children have different methods of learning and processing information to use. Over the previous summers I volunteered at home daycares, childrens church, after school programs, etc. I have many skill sets that would be a great help, I am very vocal and a great listener,I am a quick learner and am able to think quick on my feet, I pay attention to every detail and every child to ensure their safety and happiness. I am able to read aloud to children, help with homework if there is any, I am great with technology, and I can talk to parents in any situation. I am the ideal candidate for this job because I am an overall people person I love the atmosphere that children are in and it is in my uttermost interest to work alongside them.
