INTERN, CENTER FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND DEVELOPMENT (CEED)
This was a summer internship for a non-profit organization in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I worked mainly as the assistant to the Director of Events and as a secretary to the entire office. My duties with the Director of Events included aiding in the planning of an annual fundraiser. I was tasked with attending the planning meetings and keeping notes. I was also tasked with contacting other organizations as donors for the fundraiser. I was also appointed as the social media coordinator for the organization and was in charge of disseminating information through their Facebook and Twitter pages. As the secretary I answered calls, scheduled appointments, contacted clients and organized their files and other items.

In charge of operations in the front of the house in the absence of the supervisor. Responsible for maintaining optimal environments for the best customer service. Catering to the needs of many customers by giving them their orders and helping them with anything else they might need. Supervising my fellow co-workers in their duties and making sure all assignments are completed to satisfaction.

TEACHER’S ASSISTANT, FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
I was appointed as a teacher’s assistant for the course Comparative Politics: Authoritarians and Democrats in the Fall semester. My responsibilities during this time included acting as a liaison between the students and the professor. Preparing materials ahead of class so that the lectures could begin smoothly. I also created presentations of certain topics per the request of the professor. The largest requirement was overseeing the development of the end of semester presentation night for the class. I managed the placement of students into presentation groups and monitored their progress over the semester and for the final evening of presentations I created a detailed schedule of events, allocated a space for presentations and supplied catering for the event.

In high school, I received the IB diploma which signifies the completion of a two-year program that gives you a globally minded education that makes you extremely competitive in the real world due to the experience gained from the program including advanced education, the learning of a foreign language, community service and projects conducted on global scales.
