Hello,
I am interested in a Position working in the events industry. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a B.S. in Public Relations with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in Geology. my many experiences in different fields make me the ideal candidate for this position.
In my current position as Private Events Assistant at the Fox Theater Detroit, I have been involved in all aspects of the event planning process from client meetings to menu creation and event set up as well as being the point of contact for client during event. Another aspect of this position is ensuring backstage riders are distributed and correctly fulfilled. As the Events Intern at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum, I planned and promoted multiple events. This included creating and staying on budget, working with vendors and working the event.
My experiences in different types of venues has allowed to grow my skills in client communication, event management and leadership in a professional setting. I feel these skills will make me the best candidate to continue to learn and grow in events.
