? I am part of a team that processes all medical records' requests that may come from patients, other providers, insurance companies, subpoenas, and any other legal sources. I ensure that HIPAA compliance is strictly enforced for each and every incoming and outgoing request. I also manage daily data entry, generating consult letters, and handle all incoming and outgoing paperwork from a total of five locations. I am in charge of distributing, filing, and maintaining hundreds of documents on a daily basis to ensure that the appropriate parties have access to the files that they need when they need it. I also provide excellent customer service in reception, sometimes travelling to the other five offices as needed. At the front desk: I check patients in, verify insurance, schedule sleep studies, appointments, etc., and I also assist the doctors with any issues that may arise. I handle special requests such as typing a myriad of documents under the direction of the physicians as needed.
