RECREATION/SPORTS PROGRAM EXPERIENCE:

Athletic Instructor- Soccer/Football Specialty 2018 – Current
Gary Comer Youth Center – Chicago, IL
The primary duties of my current position are to plan, coordinate, and execute quality coaching of both Soccer and Flag Football. This position also dictates that I take and archive daily attendance for the courses I lead, as well as perform evaluations on every participant within the program. Along with those duties, I am responsible for aiding in the creation of program goals, managing and purchasing equipment, and maintaining the safety standards of the building. I have also planned and run organization events and meetings, field trips, as well as be involved in the interview process for potential hires to the organization. In addition to my primary role, I also assist the Basketball program, aid in overseeing the Game Room, and tutor youth in the building during secondary program hours.

Head Soccer Instructor/Soccer Resource 2017 - 2019
Milwaukee Recreation Department - Milwaukee, WI
The primary duties of my position were to manage the Soccer league I created for the Milwaukee Recreation Department, as well as provide more advanced practices for program participants. I was responsible for making team schedules, divide teams and equipment, train other potential coaches and referees, communicate with parents on a frequent basis, and purchase and maintain equipment for league play. Additionally, a key requirement was meeting with Recreation Department supervisors to discuss various program growth issues, such as needed supplies and field facilities, player involvement, and further services we could provide to our participating families. This position was held concurrently with the Recreation and Arts Instructor position listed below.

Recreation Sports and Arts Instructor 2014 - 2019
Milwaukee Recreation Department - Milwaukee, WI
The primary focus of this position was to coach sports skills to youth (ages 3-13) and teach artistic skills to older youth (ages 10-16). The primary sports that I coached were soccer and football. I also coach a class titled Junior Athletes in which the students participate in multiple sports, including soccer, football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and hockey. The art portion of my position was focused on writing, illustrating, drawing, and designing the multiple aspects of graphic novels and comic books. In both my athletic classes and my art classes, I promoted active learning for students, lesson planned, and interacted with both children and parents on a daily basis. Additionally, I coordinated with Recreation supervisors to obtain the necessary supplies and facilities to successfully facilitate student learning, participation, collaboration, and team-building.

Jr. Varsity Soccer Coach 2011-2012
Oshkosh Area School District, Oshkosh North High School- Oshkosh, WI
The primary focus of this position was to provide quality soccer coaching to high school players, ages 14-17. The position required diligent practice plans, traveling to neighboring communities, and coordinating schedules with fellow soccer program coaches, as well as with other sports programs at Oshkosh North High School. Another key aspect to this position was enforcing scholastic eligibility with the players on my team, ensuring their progress on the field did not impede their progress in the classroom.

The primary focus of this position we’re to enforce the game rules, keep score, and help keep players safe during the sport being played. Included in sessions were small instructional times to help impart game skills to players. The sports I was directly involved with were Football, Soccer, and Basketball.

BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE:

Dairy/Grocery Stocker 2012 - Current
Pick n’ Save/Kroger Inc.- Milwaukee/Kenosha, WI
The primary duties for this position were to attend to customer questions and fulfill customer requests while stocking store areas with fresh product. I was also responsible for electronic ordering, balancing, and checking item inventory and receiving phone calls from various vendors associated with the store ensuring product is available for purchase.

Bartender/Caterer 2010 - 2012
Lara’s Tortilla Flats- Oshkosh, WI
The primary duties for this position were to serve beverages to bar patrons in a quick fashion. Duties then extended to ordering and maintaining beverage inventory along with placing phone orders and reservations. When catering I was responsible for driving the company vehicle to and from off-site events, ensuring the timely return of rented catering materials, supervising the set up and take down of catering equipment, as well as serving food and beverage to patrons.
