Profile
Ph.D. graduate in Marketing Management from North West University, Potchefstroom Campus, South Africa. In my thesis "A model for positive customer citizenship behaviour in the mobile banking application environment", I established that customer citizenship behaviour has received little attention in the electronic banking environment and its links to technology adoption models are not known. Accordingly, my research focused on developing a model for positive customer citizenship behaviour in the mobile banking app environment. It was established that customer satisfaction and affective commitment attitudes contribute to customer citizenship advocacy and helping behaviour. Also, five belief factors of the Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Model (extended UTAUT model) and trust may impact on users’ attitudes towards mobile banking apps. Theoretically the study extends current research on technology acceptance by providing more insight into its connection with customer citizenship behaviour. Practically the research findings offer guidance to retail banks, government and policy makers concerning the management and promotion of self-service technologies.
