Professional Summary
I had originally planned to be a teacher in High School or Jr. College as well as a coach. I went into business instead and found that I was good with people and could translate concepts and ideas into actions. This lead to a very successful sales career and an even more successful Sales Management career.
I actually became interested in software programming and wrote a software package for the telecommunications industry and started my own company which I had for 10 years.
I have managed sales and engineering teams consisting of up to 16 people. I have managed multiple territories simultaneously. I took my first office from number 30 in the company to number 3 and my second location from number 31 to number 4 in the company in revenues.
The success that I had in sales management was a directly related to my love of teaching and coaching. My goals was always to make others shine and be as successful as they could be.
I retired in 2017 and immediately began studying Photoshop and have become very proficient with it and also in digital art.
I have also played guitar for 54 years which included being in numerous band, playing at church and teaching guitar lessons. I write and record in my home music studio.
Skill sets
I’m articulate very diligent and dependable employee. I have wonderful good people skills and am also an excellent teacher. I also have a desire to understand as many aspects of a business as I can. I like to know how each component functions. I also care that customers get what they perceived they would get when they do business with me.

Was brought in to move the company into larger telecommunications systems sales because of my background in this. Within 4 month I made the largest system sale in company history of $180,000 dollars. Their largest sale had been in the $50,000 range since the company started in 1991. The following year I again made the largest sales in company history with a $290,000 and a $600,000 system sale. The owner then sold out and the new owner asked me to take over a s sales manager which I did until 2017 when I retired from the telecom industry.

I managed both Austin and San Antonio with a sales staff of 9 and 4 engineers on the team. I was able to increase sales and move our company ranking from number 30 to number 4 nationally. The company was bought out and I chose to move on to a local Austin based company.

I was hired as the Sales Manager because of my expertise in large system and government telecom sales. I had a sales team that I grew to 14 along with 3 engineers on my team. At the point that I was hired we ranked number 31 out of 35 branches. I was able to grow the business and at the end of my first full year we were ranked number 3. I was also brought into the corporate offices to provide national sales training classes.
