SKILLS & ABILITIES
I am currently a student at Bellevue College, transferring to University of Washington. I have had a range of jobs over the last 6 years. Since I’ve had a variety of experience in different job positions, I believe I am a quick learner and acclimate, perform well under pressure. If I had to describe myself in 3 words I would use the words creative, hardworking, and a team player. My goal for the summer is to find a part-time job during this time off from school. I am studying to become a child psychologist for children with mental disabilities from ages 3-12. I am excited to continue my journey into my future career and looking forward to learning from my jobs on the way.
JOB EXPERIENCE
Nanny
2017- 2019 I was a nanny for 2 amazing children. A 5-year-old boy and an 18-month old girl. I learned a lot about babies/toddlers, dealing with random outbursts/anger, public happenings, and most importantly: parenting. My duties included: laundry (daily), household manager (taking care of schedules), doctor visits, playdates, school activities/pickup and drop-off, groceries/errands, and much more. I enjoyed being a big part of helping them grow at different stages of their lives.
Aritzia-Personal Stylist
2017 I worked as a retail consultant, manned the register as a cashier, collected/counted inventory, helped clients based on their wants and needs. I provided the best customer service I could and really enjoyed helping clients put together outfits. Developing a relationship with my clients was truly a pleasure to see how happy they were leaving with clothing that made them feel good inside!
CWU Recreation Center Group Fitness Instructor
2016 I started taking Group Fitness classes during my freshman year at CWU. I enjoyed Zumba classes the most, since I started competitive dancing at the age of 3. I decided to become a fitness instructor at school. I earned my Zumba certification and became a member of the CWU Fitness Team. I really enjoyed creating fun routines for my classes. Since I ended up transferring to Bellevue College my second year, I had to say goodbye to the group. It truly was an empowering time for me, having my students give me positive feedback about how they felt more confident about their bodies and especially their health.
Nanny
2015 - Sep. 2016 I applied for a nanny position of a 5 year old child with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). Since I am majoring in Child Psychology, I thought this would be a wonderful way to learn from this amazing girl. There were a lot of victories as well as challenges that we both learned from. I loved being with her on a daily basis. I worked with this family up until the time I had to leave for CWU.
Daycare Teacher at Imagination Station
2014-2015 I worked with kids ranging between 2-6 years old. I had a lot of different tasks that I was responsible for throughout my time but the most important job I was taught was to be a caring employee. That was the priority. I had a lot of real-life experiences and learned very quickly how to multi-task!
Opal-Retail Consultant
2014 I enjoyed working at Opal. It was such a fun experience and I learned a lot. I enjoyed helping customers pick out the right clothes, ones that looked the best for them and made them feel good about themselves.
Nanny-Various Local Families
2011-2015 I nannied neighborhood families during a 4 year period of time. Prepared meals, along with taking the children to various places to have fun and keep them entertained. Truly enjoyed watching them grow over time & become a mentor as they became older.
National Charity League (NCL)
2009- 2015 I truly enjoyed being a member in NCL. This organization fosters mother-daughter relationships while providing philanthropic opportunities (local & abroad), committed to community service, leadership development and learning new cultural experiences. During my NCL Experience, I held many positions such as Class Council Representative, VP of Programs and VP of Philanthropies.
