Allied Health Internship
August 2017-May 2018
An internship through Allied Health program in Paoli Hospital and Great Valley High School gave selected students the opportunity to learn about medical terminology, bodily systems, health administration, and health care careers to prepare for the future. Two out of five days a week students went to lecture while spending the other three days shadowing health professionals in almost all wings in the hospital. Shadowed areas include cardiology, NICU, radiology, interventional radiology, ER, sleep studies, Urgent Care, Mental health facilities, PACU, ASU, short procedure unit, and four different nursing floors.
