?Service Experience ?Feed My Starving Children
I volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, and was part of an assembly line. We measured out and packaged meals composed of various ingredients with high nutritional value to sustain a life. My participation in this organization contributed to the total amount of packaged meals produced by the assembly lines, which would then be sent to children and families that were in need of such assistance.

Legion of Young Polish Women
For five years, I have participated in many balls, meetings, galas, and other fundraising events to support the Chicago Polish community. These occasions all focus on positivity towards the Polish community, and encourage those involved to embrace and promote their Polish heritage. The money raised during these events goes toward many different Polish organizations, all of which are involved in preserving the Polish tradition, promoting positivity among Polish groups in Chicago, and aiding Polish groups in need of support. I was presented as a debutante in March of 2016, and was lucky enough to be able to represent the legion as the queen of the white and red ball, due to the amount of funds that I had raised. I now continue to attend the ball each year, and participate in many legion events in Chicago.

Lomastro Performing Arts Dance Fundraisers
During my eight years as a competitive company member in the Lomastro program, I participated in multiple events, fundraisers, and productions each year that provided service to different organizations and causes. The most notable of these occasions, the “Dancers Care Benefit Concert”, occur every year of my participation in the company, and I was able to take part in this occasion a total of eight times, resulting in over eight years of participation in this service.

Lake Forest Dance Team Service
During my sophomore year of high school, as a member of the Lake Forest High School Dance Team, I participated in many service events. These events provided dance activities at a daycare camp, to fundraising and other dance activities, I received experience with a diverse group of service activities.

Eckerd College Recycling Program
During my first semester at Eckerd College, I worked with the office of sustainability, and was involved with the recycling and garbage program. Working alongside groups of other students, I collected and sorted recycled material and garbage produced by all areas of campus. After sorting the campus’s waste into its correct disposal groups, we worked together to transport the waste to an isolated area of campus. There we sorted the items, by placing them in their correct disposal areas, to eventually be removed by garbage and recycling companies. By working as a team, we were able to ensure that the environmental responsibility of our campus was correctly and thoughtfully carried out. My participation with this service resulted in an immediately recognizable positive impact on our campus, which made my efforts feel especially worthwhile.

Eckerd College Yellow Bike Program
There are 100 yellow bikes dispersed across campus, available at all times for public student use. The bikes are able to be picked up by students wherever they are found, and dropped off at any location. As a result of this free use system, the bikes become easily damaged. During my first semester at Eckerd College, I provided assistance to bike shop employees by helping to repair, organize, assemble, and clean yellow bikes as needed. Because of my previous experience, I was able to provide a substantial amount of aid. By participating in this program, I was not only able to contribute to the high demand of work needed to keep the yellow bike program running smoothly, but I was also able to improve transportation for students without personal vehicles, who greatly benefit from the option to freely use bikes as needed. As a result of this service experience, I appreciate and understand the importance of every individual as a part of a system.

extracurricular Experience
Dance Company (Lomastro Performing Arts Dance Academy) - For many years, I danced with the Lomastro Performing Arts Dance Company, participating in workshops, competitions, and performances. I was enrolled in over 17 hours of class per week at the studio, and participated in a variety of styles for both class and company. During my participation with this group, I learned how to: persevere, focus for extended periods of time, fully push my limits, achieve my highest potential both mentally and physically, form meaningful and close bonds with a group, be part of a team, incorporate the strength of each individual in a group, use knowledge, observation, and awareness to compensate for personal and group weaknesses, provide necessary critique and positive feedback, improve efficiently, take direction from an instructor, to express myself through physical activity, use my passion for dance to benefit myself and others, accept, reflect upon, and improve from a loss, and celebrate and support the success of myself and others.

Lake Forest High School Dance/Poms Team - I danced with my high school dance team (Lake Forest Dance Team), for one year where we placed in state. During my experience with this team, I became especially appreciative for the benefits that may be seen when a team truly works together. I also learned to appreciate the fact that everyone has strengths and weaknesses; which can be utilized strategically to build routines of the highest quality and the team’s potential for success. ?
