Research Experience:
Stockton University: analyzing and synthesizing liquid January 2016- December 2017
crystals under the direction of Dr. Pamela Cohn
• The present research aims to design a new type of material that can sense water-soluble chemicals with a change in color. To achieve this goal, the present work studied the assembly of stimuli-responsive liquid crystalline (LC) materials in the solid state, and their ability to change color in response to different chemical stimuli.

University of Delaware: July 2018 – April 2019
Under the direction of Dr. Don Watson
• Exploration of the use of electrophilic boron reagents in Heck-like reactions. By using palladium catalysis to efficiently convert terminal alkenes into trans-vinyl boronic esters, able to convert simple alkenes into broadly used, high-value intermediates in organic synthesis.
Under the direction of Dr. Don Watson and Dr. Eric Bloch
• Investigation of published syntheses of PAF-1 and PAF-3 (PAF= Porous Aromatic Framework), exploring whether catalytic amounts of Ni(COD)2 and COD can be used and different additives.

Teaching Experience:
• TA for Organic Reactions (CHEM 2130) under Dr. Erin Podlesny
o Took on roles of making standards, preparing chemicals, checking students in and out of their lab drawers, providing guidance and advice for students running reactions
