Substitute Teacher
OVERVIEW
St. James School in Stratford is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2022-23 school year. We are a preschool through 8th grade Catholic School. Our children are very well behaved and our community is warm and friendly. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time in a high-quality school, connecting with children, and working alongside a dedicated faculty. Retired teachers and other adults who love children are encouraged to apply!
This is an “as needed” and “on-call” position. Sub-hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 pm.
General Purpose
To supervise students and teach lessons provided by the teacher.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Provide a warm, loving, and caring presence in the classroom
• Teach lessons provided by the teacher
• Supervise all classroom duties
• Assist with additional duties or responsibilities as determined by the lead teacher or principal
Qualifications:
• Love for working with children!
• Experience working with children
• Certification not necessary by preferred
