Stage Crew Captain
Managed by JJLA, and in collaboration with Fever, Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration is a one-of-a-kind, immersive, theatrical pop-up party experience. This holiday party combines a lively dance floor with immersive theatrical moments to celebrate the Yule Ball. Whimsically attired hosts keep guests’ spirits high, while guiding them through the festivities. Attractive themed treats and beverages are available throughout the event. Guests can commemorate the experience at any of a number of immersive photo opportunities, or with exclusive Yule Ball gifts. The experience will run from mid November to the end of January.
The Crew Captain leads the day-to-day operations of the production. Reporting to the Production Manager, The Captain will oversee coordination and production tasks associated with the experience to the highest standard including supervising the crew and managing the backstage and onstage areas during performances. This role is a temporary/seasonal position throughout the run of the show.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operation of production including supervising crew
Manage the backstage and onstage area during performances
Print and distribute daily paperwork including call sheets
Assist Production Management
Maintain props, fabrication and set during the run
Oversee resets in between shows
Work with AV on cues for lighting and sound
Ensuring run of show is on time
Oversee inventory of all costumes pieces per actor & report missing items/damages to Production Manager
Assist with production errands
staff, and proper use of venue, and production equipment.Maintain company safety protocols in the backstage and onstage areas
Complete incident reports on behalf of Actors/Crew
Contribute to daily show reports to provide to the Production Company
Assist with Production Load in and Load out
Oversee set inventory including props, costumes and set
Leading and supervising the stage crew operations and positions.
Skills/Requirements:
Staff encouraged to have knowledge and a certain passion for the brand
A strong understanding in theatrical operations and ability to support all departments
A degree in production/theater and/or similar work experience as a Stage Lead or similar title with highly regarded referrals
Excellent leadership and management skills. An ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in oral and written communication
Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously to ensure work is completed in a timely and productive manner
Must have knowledge in google platform, microsoft & excel
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Moderate level of physical ability is required
