The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is currently seeking a passionate Production Manager to play a hugely significant role in helping children to develop their creative skills.

The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is a new, exclusive, and innovative private school being introduced to the city of St. Louis, Missouri.

The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy’s mission is to empower the youths through creativity. We are out to impact the youths in and around St. Louis. We are out to prepare students to intellectually and creatively interact and succeed in our ever-changing world.

The Production Manager facilitates clear communications throughout the production process, and act as a liaison between management team, technical crew, directors, designers, stage managers, and production and administrative staff; and to make sure the technical elements of a show are completed safely, on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a Production Manager can vary and they can begin from the rehearsals of a production, through to the first night of performances and to when the show has finished its run. These responsibilities can include:

• Creating and maintaining a production schedule for each show
• Maintaining contact information
• Organizing additional meetings for cast and production staff
• Working closely with Directors and other department heads to make decisions regarding set, costume,
lighting, and other aspects of a production and ensure these are within the budget of the production
• Keeping stage and backstage areas organized
• Ensuring decisions made regarding the set of a production are carried out safely
• Prepare budgets and monitor accurate expenses
• Create construction drawings for all scenery elements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

The Production Manager will have a good knowledge of technical theatre production and knowledge of various aspects of producing an event or production in both the educational and professional technical theatre arenas. Areas of related subject of experience such as:


• Performance production
• Technical backstage
• Stage management
• Lighting
• Events management

Also, the Production Manager will need to possess:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Be energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
• Demonstrate patience and leadership skills.
