Painter
We are looking for a few good people to join our team. You do not need a lot of experience, but you do need to have a willingness to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and support the crew by doing what needs to be done to get the job done right. This is a seasonal job, and is mostly painting residential exteriors.
Description: Under general supervision, learn painting techniques and perform tasks. Apply coats of paint, varnish, and stain, to decorate and protect exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and structures on customer job sites.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: Valid driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently. Willingness to learn
Experience: 0-1 year of experience
Responsibilities and Duties:
Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint.
Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler.
Paint surfaces, using brushes, or paint rollers
Stain, seal, and varnish wood surfaces.
Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
Occasionally pick up and deliver painting supplies to job sites; maintain delivery records.
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
