� Supporting the ministry priorities of the Evangelical Covenant Church (------------) and the Pacific Southwest Conference (------------)

DESIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION:
� Experience or education in multi-cultural worship leadership, vocal performance, music theory, music performance, and/or music education
� Ability to select and lead classical, contemporary, and gospel styles of choral music
� Strong leadership skills
� Strong people and communication skills

Part-Time, Interim Choir Director

Founded over 130 years ago, First Covenant Church of Oakland (FCC) is a multi�ethnic, multi-generational church in the Evangelical Covenant Denomination (ECC) with a rich history in the Bay Area. The Mission of FCC is to �equip people to follow Jesus in their everyday lives,� and our Vision is to �break down barriers, build up people, and be a light for our city.�

The FCC Choir Director will coordinate and direct the choir for FCC. This includes both in-person and streaming services.

TASKS:
� Directing the FCC Choir for Sunday worship and special FCC musical events
� Coordinating weekly worship with FCC staff and collaborating with all FCC music and worship team members
� Leading weekly Thursday evening choir rehearsal and training choir members for excellence
� Recruiting potential choir members for the future of the ministry
� Overseeing the work of the FCC accompanist/organist as it relates to the choir ministry and worship services
� Attending staff meetings, staff retreats, events and training experiences designed for staff and church leaders as needed
