Reports to: Cultivation Manager and Director of Cannabis Production
Hudson hemp is seeking a full-time employee to join the cultivation team. You will learn skills in cannabis production and regenerative farming. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain knowledge and experience in the cannabis industry.
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for daily cultivation tasks in accordance with our cultivation and harvest schedule and Standard Operating Procedures. The Cultivation Technician must adhere to the production milestones set by the management team and is responsible for all plant-care tasks throughout the cannabis life cycle as assigned by the management team.
Responsibilities:
Daily cultivation activities in accordance with our cultivation schedule and Standard Operating Procedures:
Planting
Weeding
Pruning, topping and Trellising
Feeding & Irrigation
Integrated Pest Management
Harvest
Climate Control
Lighting Systems
Sanitization & Cleaning
Operate farm & warehouse equipment, including carts, dollies, hand trucks, forklifts and other equipment to move large quantities of materials.
Complete all reporting requirements regarding tasks performed
Maintain track & trace system and procedures for traceability from field to warehouse
Closely follows all safety directions properly using equipment to prevent injuries and accidents
Adhere to cultivation and quality assurance standard operating procedures.
Other tasks as assigned.
Demonstrate care in procedures and support a friendly and safety-centered environment.
Qualified Candidates Must Have:
Strong experience in farming.
Strong knowledge and appreciation for farming.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and consistently.
Reliable means of transportation on a daily basis.
Ability to tolerate hemp dust, and adherence to mandatory PPE requirements (face masks, ventilators, work gloves, sleeve protectors)
Must be over the age of 21
Compensation:
$18 - $22/hour, starting wage commensurate with experience
Hours:
Monday - Friday
8AM - 5PM
