Veterinary Technician
Southern Rhode Island Animal Hospital is seeking a part time (up to 30 hours per week) veterinary technician. Experience in surgery and dentistry/dental radiology is preferred. Fear Free training would be ideal. Salary based on experience. Up to $25/hour for CVT's, or with equivalent surgical/dental experience. We are open 9 - 4 Monday through Friday striving to make pets and their people as comfortable as possible. I need someone to cover Thursdays which are now my surgery days. Duties would be to set up for and assist anesthesia and anesthesia monitoring as well as care for surgical instruments/run the autoclave. Assist in rooms on other days, call clients with normal bloodwork/fecal/heartworm results. Help me plan for next day appointments. Stocking and ordering supplies for the clinic. Monday 9 - 4, Tuesday 11 - 4, Wed 12 - 4, Thurs 9 - 4, and Friday 9 - 4. I have someone coming back from maternity leave who can cover Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in June.
