*Specifically seeking Chicago-based tutors*

Seeking Tutors with Expertise in the Following Subject Areas:
- High school math (algebra, geometry, trig, etc.)
- High school selective enrollment test prep
- ACT/SAT prep
- Spanish

Role Details:
- Working with/tutoring students one-on-one at the student’s/family’s home or at an agreed upon location (in person or virtual, depending on client’s request)
- Helping students/families accomplish academic goals
- May include occasional communication with student’s teacher(s) and any other pertinent school personnel
- Preparing for sessions as needed -- may include some light lesson planning and researching for subject area(s) tutoring in
- Tutoring Tree will do their best to match you up with a client that makes sense both geographically and in terms of subject area(s).

Responsibilities:
- This role would be that of an independent contractor, meaning that you are responsible for your own taxes come tax season.
- You are also responsible for traveling to and from the student's/family’s home for the scheduled sessions. Tutoring Tree does NOT cover these costs.
- Tutoring Tree prefers that you have a general availability of 2-3 hours per week.
- You must fill out monthly timesheets so that Tutoring Tree knows when you have scheduled sessions and can pay you accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a classroom teacher and/or background in education
- Experience tutoring students one-on-one and/or in small-group setting
Master’s degree in some educational field

Payment:
- You will get paid $30-50/tutoring session (pay commensurate with experience).
- Tutoring Tree pays you the following month in one lump sum for the tutoring sessions you’ve scheduled and included on your timesheet for the current month (i.e. You will get paid for your February tutoring sessions in March).
- You must have Chase Quick Pay/Zelle set up in order to receive payment for your sessions.
