Taproom Bartender
We are looking for a friendly and personable bartender who is energetic and extremely knowledgeable in homebrewing. The perfect candidate can build a recipe from scratch, and assist guests with any home-brew needs, while simultaneously helping guests with any Taproom needs. We need someone personable, energetic, and knowledgeable.
Duties Include:
-Build recipes and answer any specific questions about ingredients or the home brewing process.
-Help build and maintain a positive vibe and culture of the Schoolhouse Brand, while serving guests properly poured Schoolhouse beers
-Handing cash and credit card transactions accurately on our POS system (Square knowledge is a plus!)
-Educating guests on the beers we offer, including full knowledge of the ingredients used and the brewing process.
-Maintain a clean, safe, focused, and productive environment on a daily basis in addition to being a brand ambassador for the Schoolhouse brand
-Maintain a clean workspace and Taproom including keeping up with the cleanliness of the bar, Taproom floor, patio, and bathrooms.
-Must be able to bend, lift, and squat without issue, at least 50 pounds. You will occasionally have to lift kegs and move/carry heavy beer inventory and other boxes or goods.
-Fill Crowlers upon request and according to established filling, sealing, and labeling standards.
-Assist in the selling of homebrew supplies (when needed)
-Practice safe alcohol serving practice
-Performing Brewhouse Tours when needed
Qualifications:
1) Must be 21+ (non-negotiable)
2) Must be Cicerone Beer Certified or have the ability to become so prior to starting.
3) Must know your Spirit Animal
