Professional Organizer
Ace of Space DC, LLC is in search of skilled individuals who possess exceptional organizational qualities. These individuals would promptly be able to execute instructions while moving in a fast paced agile environment. The Professional Organizer must own their own vehicle, have great time management and communication skills, and the ability to lift at least 25lbs. The best candidates enjoy bringing order when walking into a room full of chaos.
Working with Clients:
Professional Organizers work directly with clients, often dealing with chronic disorganization and sometimes hoarding situations. The professional should possess a high level of sensitivity and understanding towards the clients and their belongings. Organizers never insult or force the client to remove anything from their possession - they strategically make suggestions based on logical reasoning behind letting go, moving, donating, and even keeping an item.
Organizers in some cases may take the donations to a nearby Goodwill/Salvation Army, take sensitive documents to a shred center, and/or transport toxic waste (paints/cleaners/etc.), and trash to the local dump. Most trash and recyclables can be disposed of at the client's bins. Kept items/possessions are to be placed neatly in their proper "home". organizers will need to label storage containers, drawers, etc.
Some jobs include packing/unpacking household items (typically after or before a move). Packing will require careful consideration of what items to be grouped in each box and specific labeling of that box.
The goal of the organizer is to create a harmonious space that is practical, functional, and pleasing to the eye.
Scheduling
Ace of Space works with your current availability and the availability of the clients. This flexibility allows the organizer to choose the days out of the week they would like to work.
Ace of Space was founded by Laurie Beth in 2013. She is a Certified Professional Organizer and specializes in chronic disorganization, ADHD, and hoarding situations.
Ace of Space's Professional Organizers aim to help individuals in their homes feel secure with enough space to move around safely. We work closely with the client so they may easily find what they are looking for, reduce their spending by finding items they currently possess, and overall increase their quality of life.
