Preschool and PreK Teacher
Village Bloom Child Development Center is a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool located in Encinitas, California. We are hiring teachers for a Fall start date. We are looking for 3 teachers for a twos/threes class and Pre-K. These educators must be highly motivated, dependable, dedicated to children, have an understanding of early childhood development, and the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Village Bloom is a team-oriented environment with a strong focus on social/emotional development. We value building a sense of community with the families of our school. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, resilience, flexibility, sense of joy, and love of working with young children.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Attend weekly team meetings
Send daily/weekly updates to families via Brightwheel
Conduct 2 parent teacher conferences during the school year
Create learning environments based on the children's interests
Maintain positive and transparent communication with children, families and staff
Observe and record children's social, emotional growth and development for their portfolios
Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe on a daily basis with
COVID-19 requirements.
Requirements:
BA in Child Development or similar degree
At least 12 approved early childhood education credits
Experience working in a preschool setting. 2-3 years minimum experience required.
Current CPR and First Aid certificate
TB Test
Live scan
Updated immunizations
Physical Exam
To be up to date with Covid vaccine, doubly vaccinated and boosted.
