Montessori Assistant Teacher (Gig Harbor WA)
Arletta Montessori is hiring a Montessori assistant teacher for our preschool classroom for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. We are a Montessori School and are committed to creating a high-quality learning environment for all children to reach their full potential. The assistant teacher will directly with the Lead Teacher and other assistants to establish and maintain a peaceful prepared environment.
Responsibilities:
-be familiar with the Montessori Philosophy
-assist with the preparation, and presentation of materials, and projects
-help to maintain the Prepared Environment
-follow program policies and guidelines
-be familiar with the Positive Discipline philosophy
-must meet federal and state standards and maintain the following: current First Aid and CPR certificate
-Have a clean criminal background check
-ability to lift 35 pounds
-the ability to maintain a sense of humor while multi-tasking
Preferred Qualifications
-Montessori certification or training
-Experience in a Montessori Preschool Classroom
-Early childhood education certification
-Experience in a Preschool Classroom
-AA or BS or BA (in progress is okay)
Compensation: Arletta Montessori will pay for your Montessori Classroom Assistant training when hired. Arletta Montessori offers paid holidays. Arletta Montessori offers paid holidays.
