Childcare Worker
Journey Kids Day Center will be taking applications for Day Counselors.
Journey Kids Summer Day Camp Program will begin May 31, 2022 and run through August 12th, 2022.
JKDC will be open from 7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday
A Day Center Worker will need to be available to work 20-30 hours a week.
A Day Center Worker at Journey Kids Day Center would be required to supervise up to 10 kids age 5 years -11 years.
A Worker at Journey Kids Day Center is expected to be a Christian and live a Christian example before the kids.
A Worker's first responsibility is to interact with and pay attention to the kids they have been assigned to.
o Be attentive to needs of kids as they arise
o Lead kids in daily scheduled activities
o Help resolve conflicts between kids in a healthy manner
o Help kids with schoolwork
o Build healthy relationships with kids and cultivate trust
o Be an example of cleanliness and good sanitation
o Be an example of a good attitude
o Do not leave kids unattended
o Remind and direct kids to follow rules and guidelines
o Use 1 Corinthians 13 as a guide in showing love towards kids.
Love is Patient, Kind, Not Envious, Not Proud, Not Rude, Not Selfish, Not Easy Angered, Forgiving, Always Protects, Trusts, Hopes, and Perseveres.
A Worker must be ready and willing to follow direction of supervisor.
A Worker would be required to follow all COVID guidelines.
Experience is desired but not required.
First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
High school diploma or GED is the education preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00-$13.00 per hour
