Position Profile
We are looking for a part-time material librarian for our Chicago office. The librarian�s key responsibilities include re-organizing the existing materials such as fabrics, wallcoverings, tile, etc., discarding discontinued items and storing materials in their designated location.
Librarian Requirements:
� General knowledge of interior design and vendors.
� Takes initiative to re-organize the library independently.
� Organized, detail-oriented and thorough work style demonstrating pride and ownership in the quality of work.
� Strong work ethic and uncanny ability to multi-task.
� Not afraid to �get your hands dirty�.
� Efficient with time management and prioritization of tasks.
� Independent and proactive problem solver with exemplary analytical skills.
� Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple projects.
� Maintain a proactive thought process and implement creative problem-solving.
Librarian Responsibilities:
� Keeping material samples bins organized, current and neat.
� Keeping vendor catalogs current and filed correctly.
� Reorganize all of the materials in the office so they are easily accessible for the designers.
� Discard discontinued materials and order new materials to replace.
� Store away materials in their designated location before and after client meetings.
� Assist with receiving and inventorying products shipped to the office.
