Brella recently opened its Hollywood location and we are growing! We are looking for teachers who are excited about building a new model of child care that responds to families' varying child care needs, while also delivering the highest quality experiences for children.

Currently, we are looking for a Full Time Floater/Resource Teacher who is eager to jump in across our classrooms to engage, learn and grow with our team and students. This is a great opportunity for teachers who are newer to the field or who enjoy working with various ages at a childcare center with the flexibility of supporting already established curriculum for breaks and callouts.


As a Preschool Floater Resource Teacher You Will:

Provide a safe and loving environment for children aged 3 months through 5 years across our various classrooms in collaboration and under the direction of co-teachers
Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance
Engage as children work with age appropriate, stimulating and thoughtful materials
Actively participate in necessary meetings, workshops, special events and trainings
Keep the classroom safe by following procedures and guidelines
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
Experience working in a childcare facility (Preferred)
Candidates will need to have at least 12 ECE units to be considered; 3 need to be infant (Required)
Must meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services (licensing)
Ability to be flexible, willingness to cooperate, desire to be helpful, �yes�-mentality.
A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from others
A �can do� attitude, someone who views problems and challenges as opportunities for growth
Proactively seeks out resources to continually improve one�s practice
Finds joy in working with children and adults
Expertise in early learning/development and group care settings, including knowledge of current research, regulations, and best practices.
Ability to display a patient and calm demeanor coupled with a loving approach to every child
Comfort using technology
Understanding of RIE and Montessori methodologies

Physical Demands

Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, bend and otherwise fully participate in activities. Standing for long periods of time.
Ability to physically handle children between 0-5 years of age using appropriate techniques. Ability to lift children up to 50 pounds.
Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.
Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
Follow state, federal and Brellas� guidelines regarding immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.
