About Tandem Mobility:
Tandem is a rapidly growing startup with a unique community focused approach to micromobility. Like our name implies we want to serve as trusted advisors to our partner cities, collaborating with them to ensure successful bike share and scooter programs. We are teamed up with Movatic, a premium software platform that enables users to rent bikes, scooters, and other assets and allows cities and operators to seamlessly manage their micromobility systems.
About this Position:
We’re looking to hire an enthusiastic individual with a passion for bikes, your community, and sustainable transportation. Your primary role will be swapping eBike batteries. You will replace low charge batteries with fully charged batteries. The share will consist of 150 pedal bikes and 50 ebikes. This a part time position that will require 3 hour shifts.
Primary Responsibilities prior to launch:
Helping as needed.
Training on the bikes and software.
Primary Responsibilities after launch:
Determining how many bikes need fully charged batteries based on pre-set criteria.
Preparing the batteries for the swap.
Locating bikes with our app, and swapping out the batteries. .
Ensuring the bike and battery are functional.
Returning dead batteries to the warehouse for charging
Participating in city/sponsor events as needed.
Requirements:
The ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for 3 hour shifts.
The ability to work outside.
The ability to ride a bike or ebike in an urban environment.
Professional:
Ability to keep oneself accountable to a set of goals, and schedule themselves accordingly.
Strong communication skills, willingness to communicate status updates and context.
Flexibility to work with varying schedules and workloads.
Detail focused and good judgment/common sense, able to make some decisions on one's own without full information.
Able to think critically and proactively about what Tandem HQ might need or want to know, not just answering our questions and responding to our requests.
Able to be a professional and friendly public face for Tandem while out and about.
