Pool Assistant
Job Title: Dock Diving Pool Assistant
Supervisor: Owner
Job Description: The Housewolf Pack is in search of a self-motivated, animal-loving, and outdoorsy assistant to perform a variety of duties involved in day to day operation of a dog dock diving pool.
Job Responsibilities:
Greet clients as they arrive for their scheduled appointments and monitor time to make sure each client is finished by the end of their booking window
Monitor use of the facility and be on standby if dog needs assistance exiting the pool (must be willing to enter the pool to assist when necessary)
Enforce �The Housewolf Pack� company policies and ensure clients are using the facilities safely
Answer questions about the facility, scheduling, and standard operating practices
Keep dock, grounds, and pet relief areas tidy and organized
Assist clients with provided facility equipment (canine life vests, toys, etc.)
Support cleaning and general maintenance of the pool, pumps, and filtering systems
Monitor chemical levels in the pool, including transport of water samples to Longmont for testing when schedule allows
Assist in the operation of air retrieve rig for clients
Qualifications Training:
Ideal candidates should have experience with a wide variety of dog breeds and behavior (i.e. rescues work, shelter work, veterinary background and/or dog sport experience)
Must be able to commit to the entire season (part time hours allocation)
Must pass background check
Must be willing to complete an online pet first aid course and canine body language course prior to official employment. (Please note courses are paid for by The Housewolf Pack LLC and you will be compensated for the hours you spend training).
Must be able to work independently
Working Conditions:
This position is 100% outdoors. Shade, water and seating is available.
You will regularly be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
Schedule:
This is a part-time seasonal position. Average of 25 hours per week. Max of 30 hours per week. ~April 29-Oct 15.
Must be available to work weekends (either Saturday or Sunday OR every other weekend actual schedule TBD)
Must be available to work 2 out of 3 of the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. (Holiday Pay = 1.5x hourly rate)
Compensation & Benefits:
$17-$18 per hour
Paid Training
Holiday Pay (1.5x hourly rate)
