TITLE: Part Time Dance Instructor
Step In Style Dance Studio is seeking a part time dance instructor. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in teaching Ballet/Tap classes. Other experience includes choreographing and staging performances, creating lesson plans appropriate for different skill levels/ages, and facilitating a safe and positive classroom environment. Candidates must be comfortable with and enjoy teaching a wide range of ages and skill levels from very young children through adults.
This organization highly values community and inclusion. Instructors are expected to serve as mentors and examples to students in addition to teaching high quality classes.
Other qualifications include but are not limited to:
Minimum of 10+ years of dance training
Minimum of 5+ years of teaching dance
High School Diploma (continued education after High School is desired)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as an effective team member
Instructors at Step In Style Dance Studio are asked to help in the following areas in addition to teaching: subbing other classes, open house/enrollment, mass intros, staff meetings, and any other studio functions.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to provide examples of their past choreography and may be invited to teach as a guest instructor.

Starting Rate Per Class is $19.00 - $21.00 depending on experience.
