Chess Coach
Our organization is hiring chess coaches who will assist and facilitate elementary school chess clubs. This includes driving to area schools and providing a quick chess lesson to students and overseeing play. Other tasks include: regular communication with CCC leadership, attendance keeping, and instructor training seminars.
Requirements
Must live in or near Charlotte, NC.
Clean background check
Reliable method of transportation
Passion for scholastic chess teaching/education
Should enjoy working with children and have superior communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work between 2pm-5pm at least two days during the week.
Level of Chess Knowledge Needed
Applicants who have tournament experience and/or regularly play online welcome. Level of chess knowledge is not the most important consideration for this position but applicants must have knowledge beyond the fundamental basics.
Compensation
Competitive hourly wages up to $50/hour-long chess club; commensurate with experience and ability.
