Canvasser

Progressive Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass is hiring paid canvassers to work
on his reelection campaign. We are seeking outgoing, well-spoken, charismatic individuals who
care about progressive issues. If this sounds like you, please apply!

Hours: Tuesday–Friday: 3pm-7pm & Saturday–Sunday: 12pm-4pm (choice and number of
days flexible)
Salary: Hourly rate of $17/hour (weekly bonuses available)

All staff must be vaccinated and wear masks

Responsibilities
? Engage with voters door-to-door educating them about Councilmember Glass.
? Consistently show up on time for all shifts (Early is on time, on time is late, and late is
unacceptable)

Qualifications
? Excellent communication skills
? Ability to memorize a short script and adjust as needed for audience
? Ability to meet goals
? Basic computer and interpersonal skills
? Able to walk for long periods of time
? Punctuality!
? Highly motivated
? Ability to start immediately

Evan Glass is an At-Large member of the Montgomery County Council (Maryland), its first
LGBTQ+ member, and a progressive Democrat. He is using Montgomery County's public
financing system and is not accepting donations from corporations or political action
committees.
