Camp Counselor
This is a summer season opportunity to interact with school age children in age-appropriate, educational based setting. In this position, camp counselors will work indoors and outdoors leading games, science projects, music appreciation and dance, arts and crafts, story time, show and tell.
Summary of Position:
Assists and supervises children during all activities.
Treat all children and staff with dignity and respect, allowing for individual differences.
Establish positive relationships with each child, family member, and coworker.
Communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing.
Continually remain calm in challenging situations.
Utilize developmentally and situationally appropriate behavior management techniques.
Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment are appropriately maintained.
Presents a positive and professional image at all times
Hours: Hiring for 3 shifts
Monday-Friday
7:30am-11:30am
8:30am-1:30pm
1:30pm-5:30
Education or Experience Required:
Previous experience in a summer camp program.
45 clock hours in Child Development & 45 clock hours in Curriculum for School Age Children.
Qualifications
Transportation Requirement- Must have a vehicle.
Driver’s License Requirement and clean driving record.
