Assistant Teacher
Tara Montessori Preschool in Manchester, MA is looking for part time Early
Childhood Teaching Assistants/ interns and substitutes for immediate hire. Ideal candidates will have some experience with children ages 6 months through 5 years or be working toward a career in Early Education. No licenses required. This is a great opportunity for college students or high school looking to satisfy Internship requirements. We are looking for someone to work in the afternoon from 2:00 to 5:30 /6:00. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and will be discussed during interview. Actual hours can be flexible.
Responsibilities include:
• Working with a variety of age groups (infant- preschool).
• Interacting with children in a nurturing, fun and respectful way in the classroom and on the playground.
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other staff members in the implementation of school activities, policies, procedures and other rules/guidelines.
Candidates must:
• Be 18 years old.
• Pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
• Be able to perform the physical requirements of the job including frequent standing, walking, bending or kneeling both indoors and out.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
