Assistant interior designer
Part time entry level interior design position for very busy design studio focusing mainly on major kitchen and bath renovations. Technical knowledge of construction + renovation is a bonus. Qualifications should include a bachelors degree or accredited degree in the interior design discipline but not necessary. Parallel experience in related field is acceptable as well. Fairly flexible hours.
Looking for:
• the ability to comprehend interior architecture detailing and construction documentation
• technical skills should include proficiency in Sketchup (or comparable 3D software), Excel, The Adobe Suite
• general computer fluency in a mainly Mac computer office
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• someone self-motivated, client focused and detail oriented
• confidence and humility
• creative problem-solving
• organizational and time management skills
• the ability to work collaboratively and always be willing to learn
• basic graphic design skills, particularly the adobe suite

Duties
• create and develop detailed architectural floor plans and elevations
• create 3d drawings and renderings in sketchup
• create and maintain accurate client budgets
• plot built-in cabinetry with 2020 design software
• assist senior designer with site measurements and client presentations
• assist in researching and selecting materials and products
• maintain accurate lists and proposals in design software
• manage vendor purchase orders, quotes and deliveries of product
• manage installation of designs, supervising contractors
• assistant principal on larger scale projects
• design lead and manage small-scale projects
• work closely with clients suppliers contractors and coordinate accordingly
• daily tracking of all project details: client invoices, vendor pricing, shipping information etc

20- $25 an hour Depending on experience.
