Art Assistant
Part Time (3 days minimum per week) - Ideally we are looking for someone local (LIC, Queens) who can help with school/bus stop pick ups in the neighborhood. This would entail picking kids up and bringing them back to our studio and helping to get everyone settled in and started with the routine. Time requirement would be approximately 2:30-3:30pm but we could extend hours for the right candidate (earlier start time). Preference goes to applicants who live in the neighborhood and have a flexible schedule.
About Us: Art Strong NYC is an art studio in Long Island City, Queens for kids, teens and adults. Art Strong brings exploratory art making practices including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and much more to children starting at 18 months old. Throughout the year we offer kids art classes, school break camps, birthday parties, after school programming and events for the whole family to make art together.
What we are looking for: We are looking for an After School Assistant that can assist with our After School program for a few hours a week. See more info above. More hours can be made available for someone with the right experience.
Weekly Schedule: You must be available to work on Tues/Wed/Thurs between 2:30-3:30pm. After School runs on any day that NYC public schools are open.
Qualifications: Must have experience working with school aged children. Art and/or teaching experience a plus!
Salary: Daily rate (dependent on hours)
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
