Inspire Community Network Foundation (ICON) is an International volunteer-oriented nonprofit organization that empowers local youth to research, identify local community-specific issues, and develop and implement evidence-based solutions that respond directly to the root cause.


ICON utilizes the UN SDGs framework to implement evidence-based interventions that dismantle root causes of intergenerational poverty, minority discrimination, social-economic, gender, and educational inequalities in twenty states; Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Washington DC, West Virginia.
The Youth Development Coach Internship is an unpaid six months internship that includes multiple benefits including leadership and nonprofit management, Sustainable development goals training, youth development experience, diversity, equity and inclusion training, community development experience, sponsored international humanitarian mission abroad and experience working with youth from a diverse cultural and socio-economic background. Intern will recruit, train, evaluate, maintain and mentor up to five youth volunteers in assigned counties in Alabama. This is a flexible schedule role that is currently open to only College Juniors and Seniors. Grad Students are also encouraged to apply. Interns mostly get employed by ICON when there is an opening that matches their qualifications and experience during interning.
