Compensation: Compensation will be paid at an hourly rate of $15.00 an hour, overtime will be paid for any hours that exceed 40 hours in a calendar week. Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.58 cents per mile.
Position Summary:
Deveron is actively recruiting for experienced Part 107 Drone pilots for an intern position gathering aerial imagery data from agricultural crops across the region and surrounding states. Pilots can expect to fly hundreds of hours continuously throughout the summer. THIS IS A FULL TIME INTERNSHIP and Deveron is looking for serious pilots who are ready to put in a full day�s work each day while obtaining real world work experience in the UAV industry. This includes working weekends, holidays, and long hours.
This position will be seasonal work for up to 10 months, starting March 10 2022. Each pilot will be assigned one location with a radius of about 50 miles. Within this radius pilots will be responsible to collect aerial imagery for 10 000+ acres flown 3-5 times throughout the summer.
Each field will be flown on a set interval based on the planting date and weather. All training and equipment will be provided by Deveron and our client. Aircraft to be flown will be the DJI M300 with custom Multi-Spectral and RGB sensors from the client. Also provided are laptops for preflight and post-flight operations. You will be required to attend a 2-3 day in-person training session and complete online training meetings in preparation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pilots will be responsible for all equipment; daily inspections, clean, safe storage and returning in the same state received. All pilot kits must be complete and cleaned prior to returning.
In field collection is only half of the position. Pilots will be required to schedule flights, complete logs, and upload data. Organization, communication, and efficiency are highly valued skills.
Personal vehicles will need to be reliable, maintained, and fitting for carrying equipment and traveling in rural areas. In the event a rental car is needed Deveron will cover costs and coordinate with the pilot to arrange. The potential for overnight stay in a hotel may arise. Deveron will cover the costs of these expenses for a reasonable stay and rate. You will be required to submit all receipts and follow all reporting policies.
Pilots can expect to fly hundreds of hours continuously throughout the summer.

Mechanically inclined, experience performing routine maintenance, daily care and minor repairs
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Valid driver�s license with clean driver history
Comfortable working in all weather conditions, cold, snow, rain, wind, sun etc.
Organized, dependable, self-motivated, and detailed oriented
Physically fit, self-starter, good interpersonal skills
Familiar with Precision Ag technology and techniques, Agricultural experience an asset
Advanced computer skills, email, excel, google drive, handheld GPS unit, google earth, website platforms, GIS software
Capable of working independently and in teams
Must complete the Company Training program and follow the guidelines set in the Company Operations Manual
