Finance Instructor Internship

The Jonathan D Rosen Family Foundation (JDRFF) is an Atlanta-based non-profit that has been teaching its financial literacy programs to kids ages 11 to 19 since 2012. The program, Wealthy Habits, is an activity-based, hands-on curriculum that is focused on changing the way students think about money. Over the years, Wealthy Habits has taught over 11,000 students and changed many lives. Now, we are looking for someone with the same passion to join us to make a difference.

Internships for 2022 will be 12 full weeks with two weeks off (5/23/2022-8/12/2022).

Interns are paid for teaching and mentoring students, and are expected to complete an innovative business project. The project will be presented to the Executive Director prior to the conclusion of the summer.

INTERNS ARE PROVIDED WITH THE FOLLOWING:

- A summer experience that is like no other full of autonomy, high expectations, and professional mentoring
- Full-week Curriculum training
- Instructional materials
- Professional skills development in a work setting
- 350+ hours of working independently and with other interns
- Career mentoring & skill evaluations
- Future references as requested
- Assistance with resume building as requested

INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Facilitate the Wealthy Habits financial literacy curriculum both virtually (Dunwoody office-based) and in-person (Atlanta-based)

- Course/Curriculum development
- Business proposal for future organizational growth
- Program management process proposal
- Problem and solution proposal for areas that need improvement
- Additional projects to be determined

These projects allow interns to showcase their knowledge and creativity while experiencing important parts of managing a project. Interns will write the project plan, create a presentation, and pitch the idea to the Executive Director at the end of the summer. These projects are self-guided and tend to be the most rewarding part of the summer.
