We are looking for a forward-thinking, enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader to join our team as an Assistant Estimator. The right candidate should be a good team player and enjoy working collaboratively with others. Experience with Excel and estimating soft costs is definitely a plus. A successful candidate will help provide the best service to our clients, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Understand how to read plans
Know how to use Excel, Word and other basic computer programs.
Have good math skills.
Be able to work quickly and accurately.
Be able to follow written instructions, oral instructions and work independently.
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Have knowledge of the construction materials and building trade, including estimating materials and equipment needed for a particular job or project, writing bid specifications, and preparing job bids.
Communicate effectively, both orally with customers and in writing.
