Warehouse Associate
With more than 65 years' of experience, Nassco, Inc. is a recognized leader in the distribution of janitorial, packaging, food service and safety supplies and equipment, and the services that support these businesses. We are looking to add a Warehouse Associate to our team based in New Berlin, WI.
About the role:
The Warehouse Associate will handle, move, and store product by use of powered industrial trucks and manual measures for one or more functional areas to include receiving, shipping, and/or inventory.
We are looking for people who can:
• Conduct work using safe work-practices while following defined SOP’s.
• Complete daily safety audits on equipment used in the shift and ensures safety procedures are followed.
• Understand warehouse profile procedures.
• Utilize bar code technology and RF scanning to track inventory activities and movement.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks such as motorized pallet jacks, sit-down, stand-up, and reach fork trucks, and order pickers to unload, retrieve, move, load, or count items relative to the functional area of responsibility.
• Communicate with leads and supervisors to ensure coordination of warehouse activities.
• Meet safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.
With the following qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to be certified for the operation of Powered Industrial Vehicles.
• Ability to effectively use RF technology and utilize computer systems as a tool of the job.
• Able to work independently or on a team.
• Has dexterity and coordination to effectively operate equipment and perform assigned tasks.
• Must have good communication and time management skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug screens.
